God continues to lead us in our journey together in considering the form, content, center, and call of the gospel message.  Having thought of the gospel as God’s mission for the world, we must constantly remember that the truth of the gospel is never to be simply information.  Rather the call of the gospel is to result in life-transformation as we live according to whom we have been made to be in Christ.

We have completed our biblical study of the life of Jesus the Christ and have begun to think through the significance for our lives together and as individuals.  Over the next ten weeks, we will think a little more deeply about what the gospel call means for our lives.  Remember, the gospel call has been that of Christ calling us to participate in His life, not our asking Him to participate as a part of our life.  When the New Testament speaks about our salvation, it most often speaks of us being found in Christ, forgiven in Christ, justified in Christ, dying in Christ, rising in Christ, LIVING in Christ!  Surely, we do not become God.  It is just as true that our identity, through faith in the person and work of Jesus the Christ, has changed from being IN  ADAM (in sin), to being IN CHRIST (in His righteousness).  This change of identity is to bring change of allegiance and change of life, namely, life in Christ!  If you want to better understand and celebrate this new life in Christ, then join us in this study for God’s glory and the flourishing of His people as together we live Life in Christ: The Call of the Gospel Story.
